![]() Knitting for Organizational Success on the Human Side
by: Dennis M. McCartin (contact) My many years of work experience include management positions in businesses I worked for, and management in a business I was part owner of. I also served for many years as a senior organizational and management development consultant for Penn State University to many organizations. Interestingly, I found almost 100% similarity on the human side of these organizations in opportunities, as well as problems. This was true, even though they had different kinds of products, provided different kinds of services, and were either for profit, or non-profit. In
the hundreds of organizations I have worked with and evaluated, I have almost
universally heard the statement that goes something like this: “Our employees
are our greatest asset.” When one observes the gap between that statement and
the way the organization functions, the following key components emerge as
necessary for success on the human side. To understand more fully the
importance of each component, click on each one for a full explanation and some
ideas for working more effectively with that component: © HumanSideSuccess.com 2011 |
